Whats up with everyone hating the Touch Pro 2 all of a sudden?

The only reason to hate on the TP2 is the now-dated Hardware. (And maybe the OS)

I personally think the TP2 is the best Phone Layout ever. Only a few updates and it would be Top Dawg again. Replace the MSM528MHz with a QSD Snapdragon, possibly replace the Resistive screen with either a Capacitive, Multi-touch Resistive, or Preferred Hybrid Capacitive-Resistive. Then the usual upgrade of RAM (588+) and ROM(1GB) and I will even enjoy if they left WinMo 6.5 on it. (To be honest it would be nice if HTC had an Android Variant, Windows Phone 7 and Windows Mobile 6.5 of a TP2 with a faster chipset and more memory. Imagine not having to compromise on having the best Hardware Mobile Keyboard and a decent sized Touchscreen. Only having to choose your OS flavor and be good!!!)

Only other options that could improve it are DO NOT disable FM Radio & TV-OUT. Maybe add a camera Flash and/or improve the camera, but not a biggie to me.

yea the tp2 is the best windows mobile phone. i like the suggestion of upgrading the hardware because the HD2 is smooth. but i will be upgrading to the EVO but will always keep my TP2 since it will probably be the last best windows mobile phone for sprint. Had the same phone since i bought it and never had to replace it!!

loves my tp2, hard dropped a couple times and the phone still keep on ticking. would love to move to HD2 if available with Sprint. not a fan of Android- wish there were EVO for windows 6.5.x

I still love my TP2. Coming from Mogul>Touch Pro, this is a much better device. I would like to get the Evo, but can't justify switching plans for it. We pay $106/month for 1000 shared minutes, both lines have unlimited text, "unlimited" data, and insurance. Plus I just got approved for the 27% discount, so my bill will be around $80-$85.

This has been my prob also. Me and my wife. U get the replacement on monday and needing a new one by friday. This sleep of Death thing is crazy. And the sprit repair ppl act like they dont know about it. Are they trained to act clueless to a very well knwn issue. Its like the tp1 thing all over again....
