3g connection issues abroad.
I have a verizon TP2 Running a custom Rom (Blackout 4/20). No problem at all Back in the US but now I am Traveling in Europe. I had called verizon before I left and had them add the international access. Now in Dublin Ireland, Connected to Vodaphone. Calls in and out work fine but can not connect to 3g. Called verizon support and they cant figure out why. Any of you wizards have any suggestions? Everytime Phone tries to connect the error is "Cannot connect for unknown reason".

You should be connecting with the "Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G)" modem using Verizon's APN. Most likely the rom you are using does not have the proper APN setup.
Verizon's APN is "emgsm.vzw3g.com" without quotes. You might need to create a new connection with this APN, if all you see is the regular CDMA #777 connection. You will only be able to create the connection if your phone is in GSM/UMTS mode. Last edited by niteriderxp; 06-07-2010 at 04:12 PM.
