E-Mail sync with Gmail

When I delete an e-mail on my phone, it also deletes it from the Gmail server also. Is there a way so that this doesn't happen? Why dont you just select the message and than hit move and put it in the "all mai"l folder thats like the archive for gmail. so it wont delete it but rather archive it. and than delete the ones that you actually wanna delete that way when you go into gmail its all organized and you did it all from your phone. If you have folders or labels setup than you can also put the email in the folder.
