Windows is the ROM, The ROM is basiclly a Image of what you are going to install and that would ether be WM 6.1 6.5 or 6.5.X for this phone, does that make scene to you?

Re: ROM questions

I've done both ways. I haven't seemed to notice any difference either way, but I also don't use my SIM for service. I would say if you are using a SIM card for service it doesn't hurt to remove the card.

Honestly it does not matter ether way, I have had it in and out and could not tell a difference. Right now I have it out but it really does not matter.

Re: ROM questions

Ok, so I think I've got a handle on this ROM thing, I just wanted to run it by you all one last time before I do it. So I need to:
1.) USB link to my laptop and run an active sync
2.) run RhodiumW-HardSPL_V1_10R3.exe to unlock the ROM on my phone so I can add different ROMs.
3.) make a ROM folder on my SD card and copy ROM's I want to try to this folder:
a.) MightyROM_RhodiumW_052410
b.) MR.X_RhodiumW_2.5_Release
or c.) RUU_Rhodium_W_WM65_VERIZON_WWE_3.04.605.3_RS_2.23. 00WV_NV_VZW_1.94_1111_PRL58005_Ship
4.) move the ROM I want to the SD root and rename it to RHODIMG.nbh
5.) power down the device completely
6.) hold volume down and power (red phone button) for bootloader mode (red green blue screen)
7.) when prompted press power to flash
Is that all of it guys? Did I miss something in there? This is my first time so any pointers would be great. Also, have you guys used the program EnterBootloader? Any pros or cons to this program?
Thanks for all your help.

I think the chances of you getting a brick are pretty slim, you have taken the time and effort into making sure you are doing the right steps to make it happen in clear and cut questions. if everyone of the new people around here put in just half the effort you have it would be a even happier place.

Re: ROM questions

Thank, I'm glad you all don't mind the barrage of questions. The ROM's I wanted to try look good for the Verizon TP2, right? I was on a site called "The Wingster" and they had a few cool looking ROM's.
One question though, I think I have the CDMA phone and not the GSM, how do I make sure?
Thanks again for all your help.
