Re: Tethering TP2 in Europe
Just be careful with what Sprint tells you is Reasonable for Data outside the state's a lot of horror stories with people coming back with $3,000.00 to $30,000.00 bills.

Re: Tethering TP2 in Europe
You will want to get some sort of unlimited global data from Sprint, they should offer one.
Might be something like $70/m but it will probably get prorated if you will only be gone for a week or two. Pay as you go plans will get you in trouble. Just don't tell them that you will be tethering, that's a big no-no. Make sure that you are using a non-detectable ICS to tether. I have tethered with my Verizon TP2 while roaming in different countries, worked like a charm. |

Re: Tethering TP2 in Europe
Sprint offers a $40/month International add-on plan for International data. Use it in Mexico and Europe quite a bit with no issues. Make sure to use Google Voice Easy SMS to get your free text messages and look for an old SJLabs voip cab for your free phone.
Spent quite some time talking an no nasty surprises with Sprint at all.

Re: Tethering TP2 in Europe
or you can pick a cheap Local SIM card for 20-30 euroes , put it on the phone , NO hacks required and have local phone and internet... I did just than in Germany for 2 weeks.. using google voice to get and reply to my text messages and use google maps and used skype mobile for quick calls...
gonna give SJLabs voip cab a try.. is that free? |
