You will want to get some sort of unlimited global data from Sprint, they should offer one.
Might be something like $70/m but it will probably get prorated if you will only be gone for a week or two.
Pay as you go plans will get you in trouble.
Just don't tell them that you will be tethering, that's a big no-no.

Make sure that you are using a non-detectable ICS to tether. I have tethered with my Verizon TP2 while roaming in different countries, worked like a charm.
