I am so f**k jeolous and of course happy it works so easy for you . This confirms my belief that there is nothing in WM 6.5 itself to prevent wmodem from working. I definitely believe that sprint did something to prevent wmodem from working. I think we will get down to the bottom of this....

Well, are you going to try to install wmodem cab on your other rom? any idea why it didn't work for you the first time around?

can you tell me exactly more about this "and took "dun" out of the nai settings" ie which section of epst? Don't know if it applies to sprint but does look very interesting... thnx

I did have a feeling that wmodem would work on verizon as there was someone named vizionforever that got it to work back in late 2009 according to one of the posts in Mogul forum I noted above. So I am not completely surprised it does work on vzon. Now to get it to work on sprint again......

i tried re-installing the wmodem a couple times on mr.x rom, and the start was always greyed out.

on my phone there's only 2 pages in epst that have the dial up username/user id. (example: 5555555555@dun.vzw3g.com)
Open EPST and go to the Security page. make sure "dun" is not in any of the entries there.
then go to M.IP Defailt Profile page and do the same.

To access EPST by the way go to dialer and diale ##778# but you need an unlock code...

I don't have Security page. I only have M.IP Defailt Profile and M.IP customer profile on my sprint and there is no dun in any of those entry ;(

Might be interesting if you can't find out why you can't get wmodem to work on your custom rom? I don't know why the start button would be grey out in your case.

I got the MSL for my TP2 however I don't see any of obvious change I can make to the EPST itself. I compared the EPST of TP2 and TP1 and I am not seeing an apparent difference to make a change (of course there are difference in other sections of the EPST but I don't think any are related to getting wmodem to work.

btw, you noticed that in razorlove case the stock vzon 6.5 "has wmodem included"...? and in our case the sprint stock 6.5 rom doesn't?... Bet ya sprint and htc have their fingerprints all over this dirty work....

Re: Why is everyone so against the WModem concept for TP2?
