[BOUNTY] Working FM on TP2

I worked on it for a while. Had a little success with communicating to the BCM chip. But the HSPL was'nt out yet. I wish someone would just get their hands on a BSP "Board Support Package" for the CDMA HTC TouchPro2. I would have that thing catchin waves in 4 hours.

if it is something as basic as the boot sequence turning the fm radio on or off, wouldn't we be able to edit that in the kitchens when making ROMs? something as simple as adding a line of code to enable it? or a registry edit?
it's been over 6months now. my guess is everyone will move on to new phones long before this gets answered.

That's EXACTLY what the "Unnamed Source" is working on... they think they've figured out how it gets turned on at boot up.

And to all you people who are screaming "hardware disabled" read about GPS on the Titan that didn't exist...

Also, I'm too lazy to make an updated tally, but if someone does I'll update the OP!

im not sure if this is the same? But i had an old Nokia 6115 or something like that had FM radio, so it is possible on sprint, im not sure if the oldschool nokia had the hardware or whatever that the TP2 doesn't, but we'll find out i suppose in a matter of time.

Dude, Winmo is dead. The entire platform has been abandoned. There hasn't been a new mightyrom in like 3 months. Everyone is fleeing and the only people who are going to be left are those on SERO who refuse to pay more than 30 dollars a month or people who have convinced themselves that only windows mobile can handle their complex tasks. Wouldn't look for too many more breakthroughs with regards to the TP2.

well, now that I can dual boot android and winmo, and overclock both OS's I think that the TP2 is far from dead

i dont see a need for it anyways. plenty of ways to stream radio stations. and not just local fm, any station around the world.

The only real reason I have for wanting it is because I live in a rural area and theres alot of areas that are 1x only, and Pandora, Slacker, Last FM and WunderRadio and others like that need a good 3G signal to stream.

But...I have the Imagio now and it has FM Radio

I'm having a hard time trying to understand why people would donate money for something that can't be done on the tp2 cdma. Maybe things were different back when this thread was active... I'm about 1 month now on my tp2. I know winmo is dead, i know what will and what wont work.. This forum is great
