Re: A fix for the failure to wake/SOD, well for some!
the best solution to the SOD issue was to just not use the stock sprint 6.5 ROM. i cant believe people actually got replacements over this

Technically the phone never went to Sleep, it's just the darned screen won't come on because of the defective light sensor once it's off. You know it's on because the keyboard, phone send and hang up buttons are lit up when you slide it open after attempting to wake the screen by hitting the power button. I thought other people were crazy too, until it happened to my phone. My bro has the same phone, but he doesn't text as much as I do, and when he does, he uses the touch screen. My guess is heavy sliding open and closing weakens a circuit somewhere. |

But great find and hope it works for everyone ! And as far as loving your TP2 . you should have loved it from the day you bought it , if not , you arent a true ppcgeeks fan xP lol jp I love my TP2 , only complaint is the snail like processor . they should have put a 1Ghz processor in it . especially for the price we have to pay ! |

Re: A fix for the failure to wake/SOD, well for some!
Is there someone who might be able to send me a link to the newest version of windows 6.5 for my HTC touch pro 2? Is there a version 21916 of 6.5 professional? I have had cooked roms on my phone, but find it a lot easier to keep the stock rom, so if someone had a link to a stock rom that would solve this backlight issue I sure would appreciate ie!!
