Sense 2.5 & Microsoft My Phone

Im on a sense 2.5 rom (mighty rom) and im noticing now after a hard reset when i sync with myphone it seems to have saved my whole contacts tab, and the favorite contacts....and maintained my facebook linked contacts is this correct? it seems to have saved them before i even logged into my fb account on the contacts tab?

edit: and it also saves my opera bookmarks

why is it able to do this on 2.5 but not 2.1?
