Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
Did you ever call in after you had this entered to make sure it actually appeared in your record?

lol...At certain stores notes like that don't do any good, because 800-customer service and the stores are usually never on the same page. Reps in the stores will tell you that customer service says things that aren't true and customer service well tell you the same about the stores. its a Big blame game. Hopefully Heady4614 wont have any issues getting his phone replaced if needed.

If you take off the back cover at the bottom of the battery where one of the mics is you can see the indicator down at the bottom. On a vzw tp2

I said I know where the one is on the bottom of my battery already. I was asking about the third one.

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
I just had a light bulb turn on in my brain. There is a clear plastic dressing called Tegaderm, water doesnt permeate it and its super thin. I wonder if one could just cut a piece of it large enough to cover the indicator until it's time to take it in for repairs? Next time I work I'll try to grab one and test it somehow..

Yeah that's a good idea. Just sucks a customer has to that. At some point you get tired or fed-up. |

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
So im a Sprint store tech. quite honestly, i have had TP2's that have come back that someone dropped in a toilet and I could find no moisture damage. i threw some denatured alcohol on it and she walked away never had a problem. then an old lady with a samsung m330 sat her phone on a table and a piece of ice melted and the phone barely touched water and it was corroded like woah inside. all in all, we usually will do a DHRP exchange on all phones that arent like in 3 pieces or still contain half a bowl of soup inside it.
we dont make any money on Asurion claims. no cell companies make money off asurion.

*edit* Actually the windows mobile community is more like a rabbit family than a heard of elk. all it takes is a slight bit of action and next thing you know theres a million of them. |
