Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
people are scandalous nowadays!!!! Just like customers coming in saying they dont know what happened to their phone, then when i open it and there is still liquid in the device, then they say "oh yea it might have gotten wet"

Do you honestly believe that any electronics manufacturer on the planet should sell a $600 "MOBILE" device that isn't allowed to be used outside on a rainy day or in a bathroom after a shower? What the hell are you talking about? That's like saying that someone can sell a car that can't be left out in the sun or you void your paint warranty. You clearly have a definitively biased opinion that shows no consideration for business ethics. Furthermore, most of these postings are complaints about a failed water damage indicator on a WORKING phone!! Are you suggesting that an electronics manufacturer should be allowed to void a warranty on a WORKING device because a sticker SUGGESTS possible damage?! To have a device that can no longer be warrantied down the road because it is already voided BEFORE it has a problem is a complete violation of any reasonable quality and support expectation of a consumer when purchasing such an expensive product from such a well-established industry leader. Most of the complaints here are in regards to the placement of the sticker, not the sticker system itself. If the stickers being used were on the inside of the phone, then the manufacturer's arguments might "hold water" (pun intended), as there likely would be ACTUAL damage to the phone in the case where a motherboard sticker shows past water presence. Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
my phone was replaced just the other day because of the touchscreen not working. I had the oily look to the screen and the sticker on the side was red but the other one at the bottom wasn't. I wasn't in the store but 5 minutes before I had my new phone in hand, no questions asked. guess I just got lucky?

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
I happen to run into a ghost armor stand at the mall and was waiting to meet someone so I said what the hell.
The kid said he couldn't get the edges lined up right, he must've kept using that little spray bottle of water or whatever, enough to activate the sticker on the side under the cover. I'm just gonna grab a sticker off of another one of the many sprint phones I have, but I wish I had done the double tape thingy now. |

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
Im actually on verizon, and my stickers were red when i got it... Mostly likely due to being in hot containers during shipping... Personally i think its a joke. True damage due to dropping it in a puddle sink or elsewhere would be very obvious.

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
When I first purchased my TP2 I could swear that I read a thread here that said the Sprint model had three water indicators inside and not two. All of the discussion here is about it having two water indicators.

Re: Is sprint deliberately setting TP2 users up void warranty?
as far as I know, there is the external one, just inside the battery cover, one down by the board, and one on the battery. that could be the third they are talking about.

I see the one on the battery and also there is one visible when you remove the back cover on the outside left side of the phone. Where is the third one located?
