Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

Try the new overclock method in my sig. If U want longest battery U will hav to flash a Vin or Sharkie or MedHill rom, those are really popular and good BUT, I also see there are like 5 more new roms from other cooks I havent even tried yet so really you gotta just try it and flash another rom. I consider myself pretty neutral, & try dif roms wen bored. but what was my fav in past is also my worst battery suker, Energyrom, tipping near 800Ma burst on acbpower meter, on 6.5 rom, When most roms never reach 600ma spikes. Overclocking should not make much difference as it is not adjusting the voltage settting, The fact that you are getting SOD means U R on an older rom, Or you are not implementing the app properly(too high or both apps at same time) and not using the SOD cab I made, which helps 50% so if you hav a severe battery issue, the overclock app probably brought it to light. I doubt you will resolve issue just by uninstalling....

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
I'm using a VIN rom, but it was from way back in Oct 09, so thayt may be part of it.
I found it to be stable and went back to it in feb this year. I use SPB so the UI doesn't represent what the rom looks like, it just worked so I stuck with it. Guess I'll get the new clean VIN rom and build it all back up again. then re-try the overclocking. |

Whweas the ocauto4.2 is actually a script keeping the msm7k locked down from deviating the native OS speed. Quote:
I have mainly used the "setcpuspeed" app in past as it also used less resourses than the script methods. Now I am trying the WinMoSpeed app but also it seems the least hard on the system. but also not getting the speed I have seen before. actually overclocking one step lower ran smoother than my top speed. I am going to do a FULL stock rom/radio flash to see if overclocking can be increased. After looking at my brothers epic android unit, I feel not atisfied at my speed limit, with my old unit at 748Mhz and not fast enough.. Evry newer rom build seems nothn but "smoke and mirrors" as I see no real benefit in speed. so I will also do a test with a stock 6.1 rom, and/or a custom 6.1 As long as I can have my CookieHomeTab & sensse I dont care anymore about latest OS Builds.

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
@maxx134 do you notice that your phone is not as snappy using winmospeed? i switch to it from msm7k (w/ ocauto4.2), and the same 768 setting does not seem to be as quick.

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
ok, that explains it. after i made the comment i noticed that the speed was on par. actually i was able to successfully step up to 787. i'm very happy with winmospeed.

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
I have a t-mobile touch pro 2 running 6.5 and tweaked it with regedit and overclock @ 768 and the phone responds faster but downloading is still slow is there something for that?
