Re: Goodbye TP2
I used opera mini as my main browser on on WM and it looks like I will be sticking with it on Android as well.......

Re: Goodbye TP2
I'm positive you won't use opera mini as your main browser. Winmo browsers suck that's why you use it, android browsers like the stock one or dolphin out perform opera mini. Those extra couple of seconds you save on loading aren't worth it for the features you lose. Trust me, with a snapdragon processor you will definitely use the stock browser over mini.

Re: Goodbye TP2
my time with the TP2 is counting down as well,.. waiting for the new sprint htc evo expected to hit in 2 months..
although the TP2 is an excellent phone, it just doesn't have enough power/memory to run manila/sense correctly. with htc releasing sense 2.5 now with wm 6.5 on the tp2 my "clean" reboot is already using 50%+ memory vs only 32% with manila 2.1. i expect this forum section to start dieing once the EVO comes out.. sadly i regret using my upgrade for the Tp2, but i don't regret buying this phone at all, i just didn't think a phone with the magnitude of the EVO would be on sprint so soon. oh well, i gotta have the latest and greatest.. but definitely the EVO will be the last phone i buy for a long time to come!

Re: Goodbye TP2
I just wish I could take my keyboard from this phone and put it on the new 1ghz snapdragons, that is all I ask. Honestly after using swype and digital keyboards it just doesn't cut it, I'm leagues faster with the tp2 hardware keyboard.

Re: Goodbye TP2
Although I'd love an HD2/N1 or Evo, I have 0 issues with my TP2 stability wise. I recently installed Sergio76's Leo Cell Evo 9.1 (WM 6.5.5) with no HTC messaging client. It's very stable, pretty and runs really well. If you have a GSM TP2, I suggest you try it out. He also has a Leo Cell Pro version 9.1 which is WM 6.5 for those who prefer a more stylus friendly OS and more available RAM.
BTW, I recently installed the new version of Cookies Home Tab. Amazing stuff! Last edited by DADDYDC650; 04-22-2010 at 12:11 PM. |
