Re: power button issues on 6.5?

Well... My symptoms continued after my last post... I thought I had figured it out... So... I started my systematic removal of cabs directly installed to the phone.
I first uninstalled task manager, invisible clock, no curtains, mms fix... etc etc etc... rebooting the phone twice after each uninstall... finally got to the point where everything was working great... so I re installed all the cool cabs first and was just fine. Worked great all last night slept when I hit the power button and woke right up when I hit it again. I did several soft resets and everything was great.
Then I plugged my phone in to the wall charger and when I unplugged it this morning... The problem is back. Now to soft reset and remove cool cabs again.
I may just install max manila anad not mess with the other cabs.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

for me, this has happened running completely stock! i too tried to eliminate different cabs to see which might be causing it, but after MANY installs/reinstalls/hard resets- it still happens even stock. i never had this while on 6.1. only tarted after i upgraded! coincidence??. the latest SOD, when i finally got it to wake, i turned it off as usual to reboot, hit the button to turn back on and it wouldn't start. plugged in to wall charger, got orange LED, tried to turn on again and nothing. this time had to physically remove and replace the battery then it would start. this is frustrating as the phone is somewhat unreliable. and it's not like i can duplicate it on demand for sprint store to see.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

I've had it since the new 6.5, but have never had to do anything besides hit the power button a bunch of times until it comes on

i wish mine would wake with numerous presses. sadly even sliding the keayboard, pulling the stylus wont wake it up sometimes the hardware keys will light up but still can't do anything.

Re: power button issues on 6.5?

I've had this same issue since the upgrade, I've done 3 hard reset just this week. It seems to be a issue with sence because everything boots fine until trying to load sence and then it just hangs... Today I called sprint and we did a different type of hard reset in which I did not have to connect to a PC, we just hit a series of #'s and then put in a passcode. Rep said that this was a "better" hard reset because it clears everything out of the phone. I'll try it out for a couple of days and post again.

See, now it's funny you should say that because I'm not using sense but this issue still happens with mine.

I'm not using anything. I don't like the whole senseui interface so I turned it off. Instead, I have PhoneAlarm which gives me all the necessary information on a ribbon at the top of the screen and that's it.
