and make sure you follow the directions. Turn off firewall, turn off antivirus, do the hokie pokie and turn yourself around.

I have to dissagree with you. I got my 1st pda end sept last yr. didnt have a clue what to do to get a new operating system on it since verizons was already out of date. I READ the instructions which frankly are simple & plain. But I also armned myself in finding out WHICH phone i had and what version i needed.

Im now cooking roms.. yes im a noob at this, but flashing was addictive and now I have what i want on my phone & not alot of stuff I dont use. Are they plain right now.. of course, but every noob starts somewhere.

Nobody has written a primer for us noobies.

I know somebody will jump on me about "flashing without first doing homework" or something like that. True! True! I agree but..uh...where is the homework? When I got my phone I didn't even know where to begin to look. All I knew was that it was a Sprint Touch Pro". That's all. The only "homework" I could find was long long threads talking about rodiums and kitchens and GSMs and holding down seven buttons on the phone while waving the stylus and yelling "Avada Kedavra Flashus Tobrickus"*; almost nothing with basic terms. Not much with clues as to what I needed to know. No obvious Pre-school stuff.

Here's a thought. Somebody with all the knowledge write a pre-flashing primer something like this:

BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF FLASHING KNOW THE FOLLOWING!

1) How to use activesynch. See posts# xxx and xxxx and xxx.
2) How To backup all phone data. Posts#xxx and xxxxx
3) Know the keywords for what phone you have

The Sprint Touch Pro 1 ROMS will have the following keywords: CDMA, Raphiel, Raph800, Hermann......blah blah blah.
They will NOT have GSM, Rodium,.. blah blah blah.

Your ROMS will be in the following forums and ONLY the following forums. Make SURE you are in one of these forums and then check again..... .. ..

The unlocker for Sprint is HERE.
The unlocker for Verizon is HERE.
The unlocker for AT&T is HERE

The Following are proven *Sprint* Touch Pro CDMA ROMS: NOT FOR THE VERIZON!

The following are proven "Verizon* Touch Pro GSM ROMs: NOT FOR THE SPRINT!

Ok guys i have the same problem with my htc touch pro 2, lucky for the other guy he got warranty, i don't. Does anyone here knows how to fix this problem or we are here to point fingers to the noobies? Can somebody help please?

pull the battery out for a minute.... and pray that it has more than 50% charge on it.... put it back in ( make sure the phone isn't plugged in or anything) push and hold the volume down and power button on the top of the phone. if this doesn't do anything ( you are hoping for a tri color boot loader screen) then there aren't a whole lot of options.....

Make sure your battery is charged and try putting it in bootloader again. (Power off, push and hold volume down and while holding push power button.) Then flash shipped rom.

If memory serves me correct... Flashing in bootloader bypass's the 50% warning... But +1 to leaving the battery out for a full minute then trying to go into bootloader!

yep.... the way we are telling you. If you aren't able to get it into bootloader then there isn't much to do. it will likely recognize that a usb device is connected. Does the power light light up if you plug it in?? aside from that there aren't too many other options.... pull your sim and sd card out and try again.....


you could try and download the correct rhodium unlocker and try it in manual mode. that might fix what has happened.... though you kinda already took the one way street

well id rather point a finger at a newbie, if ya dont mind lol jk....

but if you did what the other guy did(ie flash the raph unlocker to a rhod device) you can see he got nowhere quick and had to get a replacement... if you dont have insurance to get a replacement your just screwed... thats about it...
