Re: Ugh so slow post 6.5
I've noticed the same thing. I'm switching back to a custom rom.

Re: Ugh so slow post 6.5
When I first flashed the Sprint 6.5 ROM I was happy with the speed but needed to hard reset after testing numerous cabs. I was happy to see that the phone was a little more responsive and booted Sense a tad quicker. I can't say that I timed before or after but it was a noticeable difference. Perhaps you should try a clear storage before going to a custom rom. You don't have much to lose other then finding out that you are still unhappy with the speed of the Stock 6.5 ROM.

Re: Ugh so slow post 6.5
Seems to be directly caused by the number of text messages and contacts that you have. I don't have any fixes, but am on the lookout for something, because it's driving me crazy... that and the m-f-ing honeycomb, lol.

Try on Sense 2.5 like I mentioned, and at one point, 24 seconds for it to exit after hitting the back button. Totally ridiculous. So what makes it different with Sense with the number of texts versus the windows one? Drives me crazy so much I dont use Sense. This is why I will probably go back to 6.1, and re-install MS on top. Gotta be a bug somewhere if you can load MS on top, and run messages just fine. |

Re: Ugh so slow post 6.5
Oh it's definitely a bug in Sense 2.5. No doubt about that. Hopefully someone else will release a fix, because I am not comfortable enough with Manila files to even attempt a solution to this one.
That said, I only have the two irritations with WM6.5/S2.5, so I can live with the lag ... for now, and relax... just go to Start > Texts and use the standard WinMo interface instead. Works fine. |

I usually notice slowdowns if my free mem drops below 50mb. Yes it is a jamm up of your database. More probably from your backup than having to do with anything else. Are you using activesynce? Try using PPCPimBackup, and along the way check the binary box as well. Before doing so, delete any posts in your sms threads that contain a picture mail post, OR delete the whole thread... Then do the backup. If you do not delete the picmail posts in your sms thread, you will experience unorganized posts in all your sms. It is also the most likely culprit of jamming your database, since the pics are never backed up with the texts. Do a hard reset and restore using PPCPimBackup. You should now enjoy a better experience...

Re: Ugh so slow post 6.5
sense seems to be the cause of alot of problems on this phone. not sure why more people don't use mobile shell and disable sense.
(seems there might be a link between the screen of death and sense and how many texts/email messages you have)
