I've tried installing Mighty's latest rom to get back my battery life...no result

i really can't think of anything else to get around this, and i've only had the TP2 since January so it can't be the battery, and it was functioning very well before Sprint's latest rom....i have no idea wat to do next....any suggestions?
like dr. said, check to see what you have running, if you have a constant data connection, you will drain really fast. did you do a clear storage and hard reset after flashing? a lot of times there will be a few things stuck after you do a flash, and doing a clear storage helps a lot

When I tap on the notifications icon on the top of the screen it opens the "Notifications" window. There the phone has listed "Sprint" with a time running and also the "Battery" with how much of a charge is left. Does this mean I have a constant data connection with that timer running which could be causing the battery issue? If so, how do I correct this from reoccurring? I did 2 hard resets when I installed the Sprint 6.5 ROM.

all of this is happening after i turn the phone on...not running any programs

i dont have stocks running or even appearing in my home tabs
i have weather on manual update twitter as well

i installed the 1% battery meter, and it stays at 100% for a long time then it begins to rapidly decrease...about 1% every 30 seconds it's ridiculous then my memory usage shows at 53% or above the most i've seen is 79%

and yes i've ran clear storage before reflashing the rom...still nothing

also i'm still receiving the message about the charging current not being enough for device power consumptuion, which is BS i never received that before the upgrade something's definitely not right, and i've only had the phone since January so it's not the battery itself

Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

the 1% battery meter will drain your battery faster actually, as it polls it more often. to see if you have a data connection that keeps popping up, i usually go to the com manager, and see if the data connection is listed

if it is i try and turn it off, if it wont stay off, i know i have something running in the background.

its late, and i dont feel like lookin for stuff, but look for arcswitch and HDTweak. ArkSwitch will kill any running programs you have and let you know how much free mem you have.

HdTweak will let you autokill the data after its not being used for a certain amount of time.

it def wouldn't kill my battery after 20 minutes (literally that's how long it took for my phone to turn off from a 100% charge), and no i don't have data on i turned it off during the last full charge and i get the same battery life, and my memory usage still shows at 54%
....regardless i'm running the rom the same way i would before the 6.5 update and i've had problems from the beginning something's gotta give i'm doing nothing different than before infact i have less cabs installed now than i did b4 simply because i've been flashing it so often i don't even bother

Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

Battery life on Verizon 6.5 was also pretty bad. I had to charge the bettery constantly during the day (heavy user). I recently changed to MightyROM's latest ROM and it has been MUCH better!

+1 for MightyROM

This is not suppose to happen.
Here is what I would do:
Only way to find out for shure is to hard reset(clear storage)
reflash from another rom download,
manual clear storage (Press: power, reset hole, bottom silver send&end keys).
Then after fresh rom running normal,
one cab at a time install and observe ...

What do you base this on? Why would and ROM upgrade cause more battery drain and why after a couple of days would it get better? please explain.

Are you saying this because one tends to play with their phone more at first with a new rom?
