Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

Today was my first day at work with the new rom and for whatever reason several times when I pulled it out of my holster the battery felt very warm- in addition my battery was 1/2 discharged when I got home - usually its still nearly full. Maybe its turning on in my holster?

No its not turning on.
I have seen this before where my unit was warm & battery drain.
Some "Process" is running in the background.
Check your task manager as you may have left something running or waiting for a response like the browser, navagation, or even activesync.

Try a soft reset and you should be okay, but if not then may be an installed program conflict like a battery program polling the battery too much..

Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

i had that issue before ever since i went to 6.5. but now whenever i'm not using my phone weather i'm work or not i check my taskmanager to make sure nothing else is running and then i put my phone in sleep mode using xda power-off manager thingy lol (i forgot the actual name) but it does wonders for you! i did a test drive using this method at work and my phone being at 97%. every now and then i would check my phone for any messages or making calls and then i would put my phone in sleep mode. then after a 10 hr day at work i go home and check my phone and my battery is still well above 80%! and then i would play smartgear and drain the rest of the battery out before charging it up again hahaha!

Edit: my process usage is stable at 60% whenever i use my phone but whenever i do a soft-reset it goes down to 50% then goes back up to 60% i wonder what that 10% of usage is? hmm

Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

I've been having nothing, but battery issues since i installed the lastest rom:

- the battery will ALWAYS say 100% when even after plugging it in to charge from a drained battery.
- when the light is green signaling a full charge it will still continue to charge w/ the icon the taskbar.
- the battery also lasts a ridiculously short amount of time when charged overnite i can't even make it to noon w/ a full charge from unplugging at 8:45 b4 i leave to work.

at first i thought it was a conflict w/ the taskbar so i went back tot he stock one after reflashing the ROM to get rid of any reg edits...no result

I've tried installing Mighty's latest rom to get back my battery life...no result

i really can't think of anything else to get around this, and i've only had the TP2 since January so it can't be the battery, and it was functioning very well before Sprint's latest rom....i have no idea wat to do next....any suggestions?

Re: batteryt life on sprint 6.5 horrible

to all those using the stock sprint rom, check the task manager. before with stock 6.1, when you hit x, the programs would close unless you disabled it. now, most programs still run in the background after hitting x. make sure to grab the htc taskmanger cab, it puts it back in the top right corner. (why did they take it away anyways?)
