Having another issue. With the 6.1 every now and then my touch keyboard would get stuck on the .com instead of a space bar so I would open opera touch the address line and then touch out of it on the page and it would be fine to text or email. My phones stuck on the .com instead of the space bar now.

HTC always has to change something that isn't broke.. why on earth they got rid of the task bar (right hand corner)? i see there is a cab for it but it's failure on their part for removing it.

anyhow, anyone know how to stop opera from being the default browser? call me crazy but i prefer IE since it loads much faster and i only use it for basic searches,etc.. is it possible to make IE the default browser?

also, i haven't figured out how to get programs to close after hitting X.. i can't find that option in system prefs to close programs after hitting X.. did they remove that too?!

Sorry I missed that. I also hear that changing the right soft key breaks 6.5 so I have removed that as well. If anyone was able to make it work let me know and I can add it back.

Open internet explorer go to tools>options>other, and select tell me if not default, also open opera Setting>advanced> and deselect opera as default, should work then.

As for closing applications with x, you have to install a task manager first in order to get the option to hold and close using x, i'm using jd's taskmanager at the beginning of this thread works great for me.

that's the main cool thing about this phone.

Check Start->Settings->Personal->Phone-> Advanced tab. Make sure "Turn speaker on when device is placed face down during a call" is checked.

This is driving me crazy. I have the Sprint 6.5 Official ROM installed and I notice that the wifi connection shuts down when you plug into the USB and have Windows Mobile Device Center (Activsync) running. Is there any hack to get around this aside from setting the phone to act as a drive?

how do you disable the default HTC messaging so when you click the text message window on HTC it takes you to the default window sms to reply?

on 6.1 you simply hacked the 47dd6acd_manila file so it points to default windows SMS.. doesn't seem to work for 6.5.
