yeah I was in their with the gf the day about the touch pro 2 stuff I ws talking to a customer who was angry becasue they barely knew anything about the phones lol so I talked to him for a good 10 minutes and he bought a tp2 for himself a pre for his wife and they will wait to get a couple of touch rumors lol sprint rep was like "how the hell did u do that" lol

its true that reps can be clueless but it is usually due to them not knowing what they are talking about or saying whatever it takes to sell a phone.

If he actually said:
"wow your sense looks alot like the one in testing"

Then my guess is he has seen it..and 2 reasons why..

1) He actually said "sense"

2) Usually an agent makes things up because they misinterpret information, If he has actually seen it, there is no way you would mess it up.

Of course even if he has seen it this does not mean it was a TP2 with 6.5 but we can hope. For example, I wouldn't put it past them if it was an android phone with sense ui that it looked like lol

I love sitting around the cell phone section at best buy and listening to how the sales reps explain smartphones to potential customers. Most of em end up walking away. I walked up to a sales rep mid-conversation when she was explaining HTC phones and how they were "worthless". I apologized for interrupting, and started my own "rant" on smartphones. The couple that were looking for phones ended up looking at my phone for a good 20 minutes. I saw them an hour later when I went into the sprint store to pay my bill, purchasing two touch pro 2's, since the best buy didnt have them.

wow, at least some of your sprint reps have, yet small, a clue. Mine are dumbfounded that there were even customizable roms. I swear my store will give anyone off the street a job.

goes both ways, i had customer that got the tp2 to install windows xp on it. i tried to nicely explain its not going to work, but there was other ways to customize the phone, but he just went off on how i didn't know anything about the phone and screaming and swearing. kinda laughed at him, sold him the phone, highlighted the 30 return policy and underlined and highlighted the 35 restock fee and said see ya in a few days!

i love the comment of "well the rumor has a keyboard, so that means there like the same phone right?" or the people that stand there for 5 min trying to turn the phone on but wont accept help when i ask to lol.

the crap they keep feeding us is that sprint is refining the user experience for the tp2, so hopfully that means sense, or something amazing becasue im sick of waiting too!

actually it doesnt go both ways.. customers can be done thats thier job lol its the job of the sales rep to educate us and want us to buy something.. though xp on my phone would be kind of cool any one wanna cook that? lol

^^^ i meant more in the sense of reps pretending to know it all, and the consumer having to deal with it, we have the same problem but the other way around, both are very frustrating. i like it when people come in and are willing to learn about the phones and not just to argue lol

funny thing is i guess the guy blamed me saying i did something to his account so it wouldn't work, unfortunately i was not there to return the device for him and hear how it went.

When I took my Orig TP to our Sprint Store, which had NRG's Leo on it, the manager and I had a long convo about the TP2, which just came out then. Then his co-worker brings some beers from the back and ask if I wanted one lol but they seemed pretty smart, and the owner actually came and offered me a job too since it was a new store. But I had to refuse cuz I was visiting on Winter Break ugh!

But I agree with someone who posted something earlier, he prolly was thinking of Androids SenseUI lol
