2) The resolution of the Droid's screen compared to the Nexus One's is a VERY SMALL increase. Hardly noticeable, if at all, at a glance. However, the AMOLED Display on the Nexus ONE compared to the Droid's TFT Display is a a visual difference that can be seen right off the bat. The sharpness, color density, and brightness are all visually apparent right off the bat.

3) The Nexus One's screen is .7 Millimeters larger. However, in your favor, this is not noticeable at a glance.

4) The Droid is wider, and thicker, and the Nexus One is taller. The Nexus One is lighter.

5) It sure does have a keyboard, but the keyboard is very poorly made, with small keys, cramped space due to the DPAD, and the keys are very flush to the surface, and the tactile feedback leaves room for improvement. It's no TP2 Keyboard, that's for sure.

6) Droid ships with Google Android 2.0. Nexus One ships with Google Android 2.1. (Information taken from PDA Comparer).

7) I have 13 SD cards laying around, ranging from 1 to 32 gigs. Shipping with a 16 gig SD card is not an impressive selling point. The Nexus One ships with a larger internal memory capacity, double that of the Droid.

Thank you and please come again.
1: Since we're talking about proof, please prove that the "vast majority" of users won't overclock their Droid. The bottom line is, anyone here reading this probably would overclock it. And when you do, it then goes to 1.1 gigs- which is a faster clock cycle than the Droid. You want a link? this guy explains it quite well:
http://www.howardforums.com/showpost...&postcount=881
And that is considering equal clock speed. Remember, the Droid overclocks to 1.1 gigs- which gives it a faster clock speed than the Nexus.

2: Again, the Droid actually has a better resolution than the Nexus. there is just no way you can spin that into a negative for the Droid. teh screens are the same size, but one of them has a better resolution. Therefore, it HAS to be a sharper image.

3: Everything I am seeing lists them both at 3.7 mm. If the Nexus does in fact have a slightly larger screen (less than a mm) and yet a worse resolution, then that would make the Droid have even sharper images.

4: Same width, Droid is 3 mm shorter, Droid is 2 mm deeper. Looks like the same size to me.

5: It's no TP2 keyboard, no argument there. the TP2 has the best keyboard any phone has ever had up to this point. But the Droid's keyboard is still better than nothing. The Droid's keyboard is about like the PPC-6700's keyboard. We all loved that keyboard a few years ago. No, it's not a great keyboard by today's standards, but it is most definitely better than nothing.

6: Yes, Droid ships with 2.0. But you can easily update it to 2.1 if you want.

7: Wrong. First of all, 32 gig microsd cards don't exist yet, so I know you don't have any of those laying around. If you're talking full size SD cards- they don't work in either of these phones so why bring it up? Why not just tell me about your 500 gig external hard drive? It would be just as relevant as your 32 gig SD card. Second of all, the Nexus One does not ship with twice the internal memory- where are you getting that from? Here's the pda comparer:
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer
It lists the nexus one as having 512 internal and that's it. It also lists the Droid as having 512 + another 16 gigs. Where are you getting that the nexus one has double the internal capacity of the Droid?

Nice job finally making an attempt to have a civilized and relevant discussion though. The pointless ad hominem was getting old.

And yes, I have backed up all of my arguments. Again, my arguments:
1: The Droid has a better processor. It does more per clock cycle than a qualcomm, and it can be overclocked to 1.1 gigs with no problems (which is faster than the snapdragon in the Nexus, and still doing more per clock cycle). I only brough tthis up when someone incorrectly said the Nexus had a better gprocessor simply based on clock speed.
2: The resolution on the Droid is better. I only brought up this fact when someone said it was a fact that the display ont he Nexus was better.
3: The screens are the same size. I only brought up this fact when someone else said the Nexus was better because it had a bigger screen.
4: The devices are the same size. I only brought up this fact when someone else said it was a negative for the Droid that it has a keyboard.
5: The Droid has a keyboard. Again, someone else said the Droid's keyboard is crappy. At least it has a keyboard.
6: The Droid runs Android 2.1. I only brought this up when someone else said the Nexus had a newer or better OS.
7: And the Droid ships with 16 gigs of storage.

I think these all make a pretty solid argument. And I'm not the one in here calling everyone a moron or an idiot for not agreeing with me. Now, look at the other side of the argument. What is there- a bunch of name calling, twisting facts, straw man arguments, and that's pretty much it.
Moron or idiot whatever you were called you deserve. Only one of those people would say "hey go ahead and build my phone with a 550 MHz processor instead of a 1000 MHz processor" I'm glad my phone is built with the processor it has and anybody reading this thread would agree except you. You deserve all the names and more.

There is more to processor power than clock speed. there ar elinks all over the net on this but here is one where someone explains it in good detail:

You also know he's a moron because he still comparing the screens. Yes the Droid does have 50 extra pixels but the dummy has never even seen an amoled screen. Salty you need to pass the shit your smoking that gives you the courage to even argue. Every time my drunk ass reads your comments its makes me laugh. Get your head out of your ass and go have a drink. You can't compare an amoled screen to whatever that other shit is. You sound stupid just like you did by saying the Droid has 16gb internal storage. Keep talking your showing your stupidity every posts.

Another fantastic argument made here, lol.

Here's a copy and paste from the first post of that thread I linked to in my last post:
"• OMAP3430 – 600 MHz ARM Cortex A8 + PowerVR SGX 530 GPU + 430MHz C64x+ DSP + ISP (Image Signal Processor)

Now, you may be saying to yourself, “Aww man, 600MHz? That’s only 72MHz faster than that stupid 528MHz chip killing the Android device market now! Why can’t they release something with Snapdragon? Blah blah blah Snapdragon. Snapdragon, Snapdragon, Snapdragon!”

Well, this isn’t some processor with integrated graphics. What this phone is running is a separate CPU AND GPU. Think of it like a motherboard with onboard memory vs. a processor/graphics card combination. The processor/graphics card combination almost always blows away the processor with integrated graphics unless you’re buying the worst crap on the market. There is a real possibility that this combination will outpower Snapdragon for graphical applications. It has been stated that this device will be more powerful than the PSP, and if this phone can outperform a real-world gaming device, those goofy little games that you find in the app stores should be no problem at all for the phone, let alone having enough power to power the OS."

And again, that doesn't take into account that you can overclock this to an even higher clock speed than the Nexus.

And yes, the Droid does ship with 16 gigs of storage. Are you disputing this?

I got it... So everyone should ignore all the facts and just assume p-slim knows everything. No matter what the facts say, we should all just listen to p-slim, because he knows everything. Right? Is that about it?

And you have NOT played with them both. You said you only played with a stock Droid. If you didn't play with a fully maxed out Droid, then you aren't anymore qualified to speak on this than me. So we'll let the facts be the tie breaker, and the facts seem to disagree with you.

Yeah yeah, I know, idiot, moron, dumb ass, blah, blah, blah, more ad hominem.

Your problem is you think your opinion somehow trumps facts if you include a bunch of ad hominem with it. News flash- it doesn't.

My boy is here with his Droid now DUMBASS. THIS PHONE HAS A 16GB STORAGE CARD AND 512 RAM. IS YOUR IGNORANT ASS SAYING IT HAS 16GB STILL? You're a f*****g retard.

So hold on- you're saying a 16 gig card doesn't count as 16 gigs of storage space? What the heck is it then?

What does the Nexus ship with?

Advatage Droid.

The storage card that's not built into the phone doesn't count as making the phone a better phone. Processing power, screen, these can't be changed that's why we're discussing those. Shipping with more expandable memory doesn't make the actual phone better. Damn you know you're arguing with a moron when they try to flip it instead of owning up. I don't even know what the nexus shipped with because it had absolutely nothing to do with my buying purchase.
