Which insurance do you need? I have Verizon and i would like to know which package should i have in case something like that happens to me??

unless you are clueless when it comes to taking stuff apart and putting it back together it shouldn't be much trouble. i have taken apart many cell phones it's easy just take your time and pay attention to what order you are doing things so you can reverse it putting everything back together

Come on now, how can what a "professional" is telling you be BS??? j/k bro, I couldn't agree more. Obviously if you're looking to use their services, you wouldn't have a clue as to what you're doing, so they can tell you anything...

To the OP, maybe see if you can pick up a cheap phone like a trac phone temporarily and look at the kits Nasa posted (hell, with a screen name like that, maybe he can fix it for you!!!). But either way, you've gotta get it fixed, and if you can live without it for a few days, maybe get the kits, try it yourself, it would be worth it if it works. And if it doesn't work, E-bay or craigs list may be the way to go. No matter what it sucks.

If you didn't add the insurance with VZW within 30 days of the purchase, it's too late. If you're within 30 days call them and talk to them about water/physical damage insurance. Sprint allows you to put the insurance on any phone which is pretty nice, so if you get a replacement from Craigs list or just buy a used phone, you can get insurance on it.

You can't get insurance? I have US Cellular and can get insurance at anytime. They call me back on the phone I am insuring and poof!! It's insured. I know I did that with my TP, just 1 week before I dropped it down the stairs. And no, I didn't do it on purpose, it was a coincidence, a lucky one, but still not planned. Cost me $50 and I got a refurbished one.

Ok i had the phone for about 1 week but i only did the extended warranty. Asurion Wireless Phone Protection (WPP), Advanced Devices is what i think i need to get.

I don't know what VZW calls the insurance plans, just give them a call and ask what the insurance is in case you lose the phone, drop it in water, smash it, etc.

hahaha, that's funny. i didn't even look at those. i have used the long ones before, matter of fact i just used my set yesterday to change out the blackberry housing on my wifes phone. she is a huge texas longhorn fan and i got her a blackberry for valentines day. the one i managed to get a good deal on was maroonish(texas aggies) she had me order the orange case right away.

Don't know how Verizon works but Sprint is $7/mo +$100 deductible. I would gain very little through Sprint insurance as a NIB TP2 on eBay can be had for $300-$350...(note, have 3 phones on the plan and never had an insurance claim...money un-well wasted)

i added insurance and taken insurance off on my sprint tp1's before in random order months/years apart and never had an issue... i'd insure it, wait a week, bring it in say u threw it at your boyfriend or something, $100 later you'll have a new TP2...

ps: i can't imagine havin one of these w/o insurance though lol, the 2-3 times I was without insurance I was like majorly overboard careful not to mess up my phone lol...
