As stated before - they wont activate you on any plan other than EDP or greater.
Most of the CSR are trained in this new way of doing business.
So if you do get it on an old plan with data as an option. Then you lucked out.
But the failure rate is like 99.999999%.

TP2 works on any sprint plan, tell sprint you will cancel unless you can get it for $199 like can be had on Verison and other carriers too I think. I did and they gave me enough credits to bring it down to $199. Check out slickdeals for ways to get it for even less.

i think the OP probably doesn't have a data plan currently on his acct which is why they are trying to switch him the everything included plan.
maybe he could add a data plan for his current phone first, then try to switch to the tp2 and keep the data plan the same.
i've been on the everything included plan for a while now, so i don't know. i talked my way into a 30% discount so it's now so bad.
