it should no big deal. but you can always call sprint and ask them to send you a replacement. . just tell them you lost it. you can just use the local carrier's sim where you're going. just dont forget to switch phone to gsm.

The TP2 you received may have been a replacement for whom ever the seller was. Replacements through Service and Repair(refurbs) do not come with the SIM chip. On the front of the replacement device it advises the person receiving the phone to contact Sprint. Or like you said try a SIM from where ever you are going. It may(should because the phone is SIM unlocked) or may not function. Good luck.

USCC TP2's don't come with SIM cards. There really is no point. Even if you have a blank SIM card, whichever carrier you use overseas will probably give you one of theirs anyway.
