I probably will forget about replacing the digitizer since it seems not that easy plus may not get a good result. |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Digitizer Replacment
I just cracked the screen under the digitizer (less than a 1ft drop) and i don't have insurance. I can't feel the cracks on the screen at all...What is it that i need to buy? Just the OEM replacement off the ebay link?

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Digitizer Replacment
The chance that the OEM digitizer will work is slim. I read about the thread and most people gave up after opening the unit because the digitizer is glued to the LCD and there is a need to redo the cable attached to the digitizer. many people end up cracking the LCD when they try to open the digitizer. Sorry to say this but I guess the fact that the digitizer is glued to the LCD--this probably makes it easy to crack since there is really no room at all to absorb the movement.

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Digitizer Replacment
Hi Everyone,
Sorry to revive an old thread but I was wondering? If I purchase a digitizer and LCD screen for my Sprint Pro Touch 2 will I be able to replace my screen or is it something that can only be done at the factory using specialized machines? My main concern is attaching the machine pressed ribbon cable that connects the digitizer to the phone. Thank you in advance for any useful information. Giovanni |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Digitizer Replacment
Hi,
To the best of my knowledge and I could be wrong. The machine pressed ribbon cable that connects the digitizer to the phone can only be attached by machine, thus you would need to send the phone to a repair shop. Giovanni |

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Digitizer Replacment
I'm getting a price quote from cellulardr.com soon on how much it costs to replace it all. They do mail in replacements, $29 + parts.
