Re: Anyone plans to jump platform boat for HTC SuperSonic on Sprint?
I bought a Moment off of craigslist and was bored with Android pretty quick. I hated the on-screen keyboard and I have tiny fingers. I guess I am a Windows fan-girl. I can live with that.

A nice capacitive on screen keyboard will change many minds on a hardware keyboard being a necessity. I was horrible on my tp2s on screen keyboard. It was UN responsive and ya had to press extremely hard to even get it to register and I was totally against a only on screen keyboard, but. A nice size on-screen keyboard capacitive changes the game..... Android is great.

I can't stand typing on an iphone, I make a million type-os plus it takes up half the screen while you type. I'll never buy an on-screen keyboard phone.

Re: Anyone plans to jump platform boat for HTC SuperSonic on Sprint?
I would....only if WM 6.5/WM 7 is ported over to the Supersonic from the HD2. And knowing the developers on PPC Geeks....its only a matter of time!

Yea. I actually didnt like WM 6.1 on the Tp2.. BUT now that I am running a custom rom of 6.5, and have customized it even more, I love it.. my boss has 2 android phones on sprint and says there is all kinds of issues. his wife switched to a different phone from her android...

why would you be using the on screen keyboard when it has a physical keyboard? the tp2 onscreen keyboard is also terrible

Re: Anyone plans to jump platform boat for HTC SuperSonic on Sprint?
I think an official Android OS on the TP2 would be awesome.
I like the open platform we get with WM. But it seems like in order to get the best performance from our devices, we have to make modifications right out of the box. It's like buying an expensive car, then having to make customizations to get it to perform how I want. And imo, when you strip down WM, it hasn't changed much over the years -- at least from a UI prospective. Things like Manilla (TouchFlo 3D) make the WM experience worthwhile. And for those who aren't jumping for joy about a total touch screen -- keyboard and all -- I think 4.3" of room to work with will change your mind. Perhaps all decisions will be finalized when there's a display-model phone at our local Sprint store. |
