Re: Battery Don't Last a Full Day, need suggestion which program is causing

I have a similar battery concern. Mine lasts pretty long (compared to my TP1 this thing lasts one day short of forever). A while back I'd installed the 1% battery cab. Someone mentioned how it drained the battery since the system had to keep checking and updating to report 1% battery usage versus 10% so I uninstalled it, but the battery doesn't seem to be as good as it was.

I've also got the the Resource Proxy and Enhanced D3D Driver cabs. My mails syncs only every 4 hours with no Push Mail. I'm going to try the above suggestion, but was wondering if there was a registry edit I needed to do since uninstalling the 1% cab.

I have a Touch Pro2 so it may be different. But on mine it is under Settings/Communications/WiFi/Advanced/Power Mode

Mine makes it through the day & then some. Here's what I do to conserve battery-

Set brightness to 40%

Set battery poll interval to 50000(via a reg editor- HKLM>drivers>builtin>battery)

Turn off push alerts

Turn off BT & wifi unless I'm using them

Install applications to the card whenever possible.

Always let the battery drain fully after a new flash. This seems to help the OS calibrate it a bit better, I notice a vast improvement after doing this every time I flash.

Re: Battery Don't Last a Full Day, need suggestion which program is causing

I dk for sure but I think The keyboard controller could be part of it, after I installed it on my last rom I felt like it decreased my battery. I haven't installed it on this flash and Im getting great battery life. Went from juicys rom to SsS's.

Also your phone is in "Global" mode out of the box, you can switch it to just "CDMA" and then switch it back if you ever travel out of the country.

I dont hink one of your listed apps will use so much power...
With regards to this, as far as the full recharge, should I use the wall charger for this or would the USB trickle be better?

Also would it be better to do either with or without the phone on?

The reason I ask the second one is that I've seen that the stock battery monitoring system is kinda flaky in its recordings so I just wonder if that is what we are correcting here as I think the phone may need to be on for that, or is this more of a internal battery thing?
