Re: All Around Internet Problem: Are You Experiencing This?
Wow. This DOES work. It's a little slower than my normal tether speed, and hangs a bit, but it's much more stable. I hope this continues to work, and THANK YOU for finding and sharing this.

This is also confirmed working on my laptop with Windows7. It took a few moments for it to connect to the internet, but it's been stable in connection

Nice to hear it works for you too, hopefully for others as well... I guess Sprint was/is doing something to their network... only drawback with this solution is that there is no way to really know when the Sprint network will be back to normal..

This is not just Sprint
I have a Verizon TP2 and i am seeing the same issues. I normally got a 1.0-1.5 MB connection. As of lately i have been seeing 100-300KB/s. This would not be a issue if it wasn't my main internet. I think it says it is in the EVDO network, but it isn't. This page too about 45 seconds to load. 43 more than normal.
EDIT: Forgot to say it will connect to the "fast" network, but it doesn't last long. I have to keep the connection alive the whole time. Last edited by garage_man; 01-29-2010 at 12:36 AM. |

Did you try editing DNS on your network connection with google's public DNS? |

Re: All Around Internet Problem: Are You Experiencing This?
FWIW, I did a had reset on my Sprint stock rom TP2 last night and it fixed the issue immediately.
It was the one solution I didn't want to use given the annoyance of resetting everything on my phone. But given that Sprint had ZERO explanation for what this happened, it seemed to ultimately be the only solution. And so I am back on the mobile air. Breathe. Breathe in the air. Don't be afraid to care. Best, Ito |

Re: All Around Internet Problem: Are You Experiencing This?
Also FWIW, I tethered to my workstation mid-afternoon without using Google's Public DNS and internet is working fine. Seems like the issue may have gone away?
