Have you installed the cleanup cab? http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88640

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

loving it. I would opt for functionality and fast access over eye candy, but with mobile shell, I kinda get the best of both. I think the camera is great but could use improvements. I rarely use my digicam anymore with the camera. I either go full dslr or use my phone. Great for posting ads straight from my phone. Everything is just a little bit easier with the bigger screen, while the keypad is great when I'm texting or emailing.

I do wish there were an easier way to add multiple recipients to my sms or emails. That would make life a lot easier; something like a checkbox system and/or groups.

Finally, I love the fact that I no longer have to be dependent on Blackberry servers to be running properly for my emails to get to me (no more intermediaries).

My pet peeves with the phone: lack of out-of-the-box ring tone and inbox tone customizations. The programs I've tried so far have not been to my liking. And the battery life is shorter than a Blackberry (ugh). Despite that, I would not give up the TP2.
have you tried the mp3 trimmer program for making ringtones? it comes on the phone and you can make your own.

I've no issues with setting custom ringtones to contacts or creating/obtaining ringtones. My problem is with being able to set separate email and SMS tones.

I would like a separate alert/tone for each email account (I have work and personal). This is a Blackberry feature that I miss. Now have to check make sure it's not my work email that just rang rather knowing that I could ignore it. And, I can't seem to use any of my custom mp3s or WMA files as email alerts.

I also miss being able use custom SMS ringers other than default WinMo provided tones. I've converted my MP3s to WMA/WAV files and WinMo only gives me the default list of alerts to choose from. I can move the custom tones into the Windows/Ring folder on the device or leave it in My Ringtones, WinMo does not list any of the tones when I try to change the SMS ring. Annoying.

If I could make a franken-phone, I'd mash a bunch of features from different OSes together.

The clean up cab actually made it worse. I tried installing Mightyrom earlier today, and have gone about 12 hours with NO crash, that is the most I have been able to go on this phone without restarting....

It reminds me of the DCD rom on the Mogul, only better!

you could always drill a small hole through the cover so you can get to the reset button.

Re: How do you like the TP2 after couple months?

well, its the best possible phone you can still use with SERO. this phone is still way way behind what others are offering out there though. the hardware is nowhere near the specs of todays top of the line phones.

is it the best winmo phone on sprint, no doubt. that isn't saying much in today's marketplace though.
