Confirmed. I have had to do this twice since 6.5 came out already.

Now, I'm looking through ##778 for the auth key as i didn't have to put it in, but it's blank for A-key. I want to reflash the 6.5 but i'm afraid it will happen again.. What do i have to reinput?
Its blank for the A-Key because a new one has to be regenerated every time you re-authenticate. There is not supposed to be one in there. isdnmatt is correct, but if you don't have another phone you can swap activation with then you need to call and ask for an authentication key. Its no big deal if you have to do it several times. cororumrex - whoever you spoke with was full of s***.

Re: "Unable to authenticate your phone" after flashing several roms

had the same problem after going to the VZW stock 6.5 ROM. If you don't have another phone to activate, resolution is quickest by:

a) asking for Tier 2 right off the bat (perhaps say that you've been working with Tier 2 and need additional assistance)
b) call in on another phone so real-time verification can be done. The tech will have you place and receive test calls, and verify that data is working.

I experienced the same problem when going to the official WM6.5 update. I just called #8899 and they go ahead and fix it.
