I have a Touch Pro on US Cellular, I cant find any official fix, and the TP2 one always says wrong device with the error code 0x10

Try the one for Sprint, should work fine. The us cellular touch works for the sprint touch's.

Thanks for the note, I don't have any programs running in the background. All my pics, videos etc are saved on the SD card only. It's just really slow...I used SPB backup to load all my old text messages from my TP to the TP2. Could this have anything to do with it?
So no one else's TP is slow when it comes to clicking/using the messaging tab on TF3D?

Today my TP2 was getting very slow and then locking up. I had ziggy's fix installed along with the following:


Touch pro 2 cleanup
XDA TC CM wifi
ICS and WModem fix
contact changer
facebook
cornflipper NA Weather

After ensuring that I had a recent sync with myphone, I did a hard reset.

This is the first cab that I am installing.

Will reinstall the remainder without Ziggy fix.

Depending on how many texts/emails you have on there then yes that could definitely be the problem. I have seen people come in and say their phone was freezing and everything was on the memory card, then I look at texts and they have like 1200 or more. Because you might only have 15 conversations going, but there might be 200-300 texts in each conversation.

Thanks for the note. Looks like this is definitely the issue. I have 200-300 texts in some conversations but I'm quite disappointed that a $600 phone cannot handle something like this. Is there no workaround to this?

unfortunately no, but most phones aren't going to be able to handle that many texts without it slowing it down some.

This is a known problem with the TF3D Messaging tab/application in Manila 2.5, not a limitation of the hardware. Once the resource hogging of the updated messaging app is sorted out this should be a non-issue.

I installed this patch on my Sprint Touch Pro 2 and my wife's Touch Pro 2 as well. It worked perfectly on her phone but after I installed it on my phone and after it reset, I get the following error message on the 'green' Windows splash screen:

"The file 'CLXDBNotify3' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file."

I did not install the Ziggy fix or anything else until this official fix came out. I've reset my phone 3 times now and I continue to get this message. Any thoughts? Thanks.
