OK, I've read the whole thread, but my situation may be different:

I'm running a TP1, official MR Sprint ROM 2.xx, have installed Ziggy's fix and want to know if I can uninstall that and install the HTC patch posted today without hard resetting.

I do NOT have any messages from 2016 on my phone (because I deleted them). Is there something about the modified patch by Mike which prevents the need for hard resetting or what? Thanks.

ahhh thats what you ment? yes i believe they had this in there stock. unsure about the new oem from them though.

I'm having the problem. I'm running energy's latest 1/14/10 rom and after installing the cab I'm not getting any texts. I sent a test from sprints' website, girlfriends phone, and tried my automated banking service. nada.

call your voicemail to that your phone goes into 1x, then wait a few mins and see if you get a bunch at once. sometiems that happens.

just thought i'd pass this along, since i saw someone stating they couldn't find the official update it is now in the HTC website. and it states you may have to hard reset but not have to hard reset.
