I agree, I just did the same exact steps ps2phreek did and Im getting text from today. Im on a stock sprint rom too.

I am still trying to find where on the Sprint Forums this is posted. Like I said before I dont get all the info rolled down to me but I have asked multiple people here and havent seen any official fix on any Sprint forums or emails internally.
So where is this coming from?

Ziggy never had the problem, he said that Verizon had that registry entry stock??

I wonder if they want you to hard reset to prevent text messages from getting all screwed up if you have some dated 2016 already? That could be the reason it installs and works for people despite the fact that they aren't hard resetting the device. Either way, I don't care if it's actually fixed on my phone or not, as long as they're displaying properly.

I had MM War before upgrading to MR1 from VZW. I had the issue with War and when I upgraded it didn't have the issue. I was just explaining the difference in the way the VZW MR1 reports the date versus MM War.

Umm I tried to install the 1st file posted, got the error. I tried Mikes and now it seems like Im not receiving texts. Any clues?

There is no way I am hard resetting for this, as far as I'm concerned Ziggys fix is just fine (I don't care if it's a "work-around", it works just fine for me)
