I was thinking 3 out of 20.. Adding the 17 and 3 to make 20(almost 21)........ 21 devided by 7 is 3........ Bad math, but you got the point........ and wasnt being exact....... lol

Re: Touch pro 2 usb defect thread

I have 2 TP2s replaced due to the USB becoming loose. The first one wobbled real bad and over heated something fierce. The 2nd one starting wobbling and got warm, so it was repalced on day 3 The 3rd is behaving itself and I am exceedingly light with the USB.

Re: Touch pro 2 usb defect thread

my port on the phone is getting loose. if i move the cable a certain way the usb wont be recognized by my computer or car charger. its somewhat of an issue because i cant leave my phone on its back or it wont charge sometimes. ive had it do that overnight accidentally and i ended up with a 10% charge in the morning.

Re: Touch pro 2 usb defect thread

I would like to vote YES on this issue. I had the same issue with my touch pro. Even a hard reset did not fixed the problem. Just recently, my touch pro 2, has been having the same issue. After extensive search and advice, nothing works. I have seen many posts regarding this issue. At first, I thought it might be only related to windows mobile devices. But I started to see posts about HTC Hero running Android as well. What is baffling though is how some fixes work on some devices and others don't. And then there are a number of percentage that nothing works.

Here are some of these so called fixes:
1. ICS: pc connection>your carrier>connect>reset
2. uncheck sync: settings>connections>usb to pc>uncheck faster...
3. use OEM usb cables- not mini usb (bought some-no dice)
4. hard reset: this did not worked on my touch pro- and a no go on my tp2
5. clean the usb port with alcohol using q-tips
6. use another usb port on your laptop or pc

I think this is a hardware problem. Just like the keyboard issue with the touch pro- which i had to replace.

I decided to email HTC's customer support. I included in my email, to investigate this matter by doing a little forum reading. I told them that there are many posts about how HTC devices just stop synchronizing with their pc and it is a problem. Victor replied. He said to uncheck the data sync- read #2. The majority of the email was on how to hard reset my phone instead... I attached the email via jpeg.

Re: Touch pro 2 usb defect thread

is it a free fix or does it cost deductible? on my other phone sprint told me a broken usb was a cause to go to insurion because they won't replace it. I think it was a 6900

UPDATED ROM's DESERVE THEIR OWN THREADS!
that way we dont' see old problems discussed uselessly at the beginning of
the roms thread. All the mods have to do is move the previous version
to a retired area. Is that too much to ask?
