how bad does this app eat memory and slow performance?

Not bad and does better than TF3D imo.

Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?
I'm running at 52% with SPB MS 3.5.3
Definitely better than TF3D in terms of memory consumption. I do miss the fluidity of the tab transitions however. I don't understand why the carousel ("ferris wheels" spin vertically) is the only thing that can use OpenGL. Why not apply it to the entire UI? |

I am going to test it out soon but no matter what some people will always like 1 thing while others like another.

Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?
I started using mobile shell at version 3.5 and I loved it, even with the complaints of a few missing functions (like contacts from the dialer). I found that I could get past all the Tf3d bullshit and just be at my app much faster. And yes it uses equal or less resources than TF3d.
Im now on the latest MS 3.5.3, and I just found this awesome skin. I highly recommend: http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/ht...bile-shell-351 You will probably have to nav to the actual site to get the 3.5.3 version if you want it. As for the carousel... i believe I remember the guy talking about it in the product demo as more of a fun example of the 3d acceleration. I dont see it as a really functional tool. It just looks cool and it never gets in the way (meaning you never really encounter if it you dont want to). |

Re: SPB Mobile shell is it worth it?
I am using vzw stock 6.1 rom,
did the mobile shell 3.5.3 fix the issue of not being able to use contacts from dialer page? Just wondering. I used mobile shell forever, but have enjoyed my stock tp2. but I am now starting to long for the good old day. |
