Note that it says that multi-touch is a requirement. If I recall correctly, multi-touch only works on capacitive screens, making capacitive touch screens a requirement for Windows 7. |

Re: Could Windows mobile 7 be for real
TOuch Pro 2 does not meet WM7 requirements but i am sure our cooks will be able figure out how to run it on TP2's and TPs anyways(android on TP's is a reality already)

Re: Could Windows mobile 7 be for real
XDA member CookieMonster found this bit of code in the latest Sense 2.5 (1922):
if HomeMachineStatus.WM7Device.Value thenConsidering we have a pretty good idea that the HD2 is getting WM7 and Sense 2.5 (1922) is designed for the T-Mobile HD2, well you can see how HTC is already playing with and planning to cover up WM7. Of course we know MSFT has no issue with this and in fact encourages such practice, plus it's not like you can't turn off Sense to return to the WM UI. Still, it's an interesting tidbit for the future. So, It looks like HTC is planning on WM7 actually being a reality... But I am pretty sure we will NEVER see an Official release for the TP2 since it doesn't have capacitive touch, and that looks to be a requirement. |
