Who plans to go HD2?

Just to put this into perspective so even idiots can understand this, because it keeps being ignored:
The G1 was released in october of 08. 7 months later, in may of 09, the Touch Pro 2 was released.

Only an idiot who has no idea what he is talking about would say the G1 is better. So we can chop that up to it having 7 months newer and better hardware.

6 months after that, in November of 09, the Moto Droid was released. It has T1's competitor to the snapdragon processor and 24 bit video. Clearly better hardware than the Touch Pro 2. We can chop that up to it being released 6 months later and having newer hardware- just like the Touch Pro 2 and the G1.

ONE month later, in December of 09, HTC released the HD2. This clearly blows the moto droid away. It was only released ONE month later.

Another month after that, google released the Nexus One. The same amount of time between them as the HD2 had after the Moto Droid.

Is anyone following why it's pretty stupid to compare a Nexus One to a Touch pro 2, without also comparing a Touch Pro 2 (or even an HD2) to a G1?

we arent comparing phones, we are comparing os'. i compare the moto droid because it has the same specs as tp2 when it comes to processing power and ram. maybe it has different parts but theres nothing wrong with the tp2 parts they perform ok. stop comparing the g1 to tp2 and compare the tp2 to the moto droid. compare nexus to hd2. like i said we all know what the hd2 is already, a tp2 with no keyboard snap dragon processor, and mulitouch, nothing new is coming. like i said if you gave your tp2 a snap dragon processor so many people would over look the hd2. Now does the snap dragon processor change your whole os all of a sudden, no it does not.

Hey just because Sprint was late to release it doesn't mean it's next gen hardware. it was released in May, and I had mine in June.

salty arguing that winmo 6.5 os is just as good as android is like arguing with someone who thinks the world is flat, this is no exaggeration. salty the hd2 is coming with all new hardware specs and not 1 new os' spec, that equals fail.

The Moto Droid does NOT have the same "parts" as the Touch Pro 2, lol. Man, you seriously need a fact checker. You're just saying the first thing that comes to your mind no matter how blatantly false it is.

The Moto Droid runs a next gen TI Omap processor. And even though TI Omaps get way more done per clock cycle than the lame Qualcomm in the Touch Pro 2, the Moto Droid also runs at a faster speed (in addition to having better resolution and 24 bit video too).

Just stop man, you have no idea what you're talking about. And the Winmo phone that came out ONE month later, the HD2, blows the droid out of the water.

seriously that Texas Instruments Omap Processor is pretty good

There's no way to compare these antiquated qualcomm processors to even anything that on the market anymore except the G1 i believe share a common branch

and to PSlim saying a snapdragon processor wont change anything in the OS for Touch Pro2s? Are you serious man? If a process takes a fraction of the time it used to take on a 7600 processor lets says 1/4th the time but hell lets say its an intensive task and it does it in One Third the time it used to take on the msm7600

Well that that's a substantial OS improvement because the System is Operating more efficiently.
