just for correction and iphone can download thru safari and iphones can so all those things and like I mentioned only downfall is not having a full pc like browser but thats coming soon being microsoft is working with apple to put silverlight in iphones safari, as far as taking the battery out thats nver been sumtin anyone should care about lol and if we talk hardware besides the screen resolution is the inly thing tp2 has over iphone, other then the rest iphone wins period, the wifi chip, gps chip, bt chip are a thousand times better then that of any htc device, and who needs more storage if u get 32gb worth of space lol, iphone has an ARM Cortex A8 600 MHz CPU, and 256 of ram, side by side iphones are wayyyy quicker, but like I said and as the post above says, wm is an acquired taste and is unique in alot of way, i love both in different ways but to be honest I rely on the iphone more b/c of what it can do.TP2 is more for texting and little laptop feel lol

Same story with me, Cbreze.

My first real WM phone was the ppc6700, which I HATED. It turned me off to WM for years. Looking back, I only hated it cause of WM5(which was just awful) & the fact that it was unfamiliar territory, the phone itself I loved. I stuck with Treos for another 2 or so years after that, until I finally had done all I could do with them & got bored. I bought a Mogul off Craigslist, and I felt like Homer when he entered the Land of Chocolate. WM6 was great, and within a week I was flashing roms & wondering where that Mogul had been all my life. Hell, I STILL love the Mogul, that was my favorite phone ever. I want another one. My ex destroyed the poor thing, much like my soul & my self-respect, but I digress. I have a Diamond that I'm willing to trade for a Mogul, hint hint Anyway, I love WinMo's flexibility, and the fact that I'm still discovering things even after almost 2 years.

And jeez guys, chill out. No name calling. You can have a debate without acting like kindergarteners. Fighting like that will only lead you to a ban.

lmao @ "much like my soul & my self-respect". I agree though mogul was a nice phone, i missed mine after dumping it for the higher resolution touch pro, hindsight is 20/20.


afterthought , id rather have a battery i cant remove than one i have to remove everyday because phone is locked up.

Why do people post these pointless threads? I mean I'm not being mean or anything but come on.....! This forum is about hacking your ppc and all the sweet stuff it can do and these people make these pointless threads about how WM suck and yada yada yada...Why would they come to ppcgeeks and post this? Why don't they go to the iphone or blackberry forum and post it there? Sorry I'm just venting but come on it's annoying!

B/c its PPC talk, it is a ppc or should I say HTC site but tech talk and debating about tech stuff is fun, in a way its good for us, lets me know how dedicated ppl are to their devices and aswell makes me love my devices more

Discussion, pointing out likes and dislikes are the only way things get better in the long run. It's a healthy discussion with a lot of people who support both sides. I've got a Hero and TP2 and agree with the OP, but I just hope WM takes some ideas from apple and droid personally to make a superior OS, even though I doubt it happens... hehe. Who knows

Well my entire 2 pennies are this, I have 2 Iphones, Touch Pro, Palm Pre and Blackberry. While I love the phones individually I always come back to the WM phone I just purchased the touch Pro2 and I love it. I think the ability to customize the phones and the ability to add programs like we can with these phones are unparraled in the mobile market. I can see winmobile 7 being a revelutionary OS that will take the market by storm. (when that storm hits is debatable). But I still come back to the W/M and I guess I drank the Kool-Aid. Well 2 pennies time is up.........
