I cant use Sprint TP2 oversea where 10 digit # are used! HUGH MAJOR BUG!

I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE instead of hklm and go from there on that path and gets to OEM -> Phonesetting and I didnt find autoprepend_1 and there is no listing on this.

I search thru top of "My Device" and nothing like this autoprepend_1 on it too.

Where is this redegit?

Can some superbrain help me more?

It is under the Hkey_local_machine->OEM->phonesetting, it is not a folder called autoprepend_1 , rather it appears in the phonesetting folder itself. Iam using PHM registry editor if that helps.

From the home screen, if you press the talk button to go to the dialer, go to
Menu --> Global Smart Dialing --> and either disable Global Smart Dialing or fix your settings appropriately. Both of the drop down boxes include Malaysia.

Let me know if this helps.

i see this problem was fixed already but i just got to ask when u said the cdma tab was grayed out where u in gsm only mode? or global mode? i ask because if u where in gsm only mode, cdma settings are disabled! also if u are in global mode and connected to gsm cdma settings still will be disabled!! i assume if u put the device in cdma only mode u would be able to change the prepend settings (country plus code dialing)via the cdma settings tab!! but beware while in cdma only mode u probly will not receve service!!

I still could not find it on the regedit. Is it really there on a Sprint TP2?

I didnt know the setting is there. I uncheck it now and now it works.

The other thing is I cant get a lock on the GPS at all.

I already had do the QuickGPS thing. It download it and I try it on Google Map for 2 hrs and still no lock.

I cant figure out that is going on why it cant work overseas with the GPS. Does anyone knows?

solution is simple

open dialer
open menu
select Global smart dialing
uncheck enable Global smart dialing

and there you go
