I cant use Sprint TP2 oversea where 10 digit # are used! HUGH MAJOR BUG!
I am now in Malaysia and our Sprint TP2 works great!
But I got one big major problem! Here is Malaysia, all cellphone use 10 numbers, just like in USA! So when I dial the cellphone number here, it auto add a number "1" to it thinking I am still in USA! I remember in past phone, you can tell it not to dial a "1". Why not in this current phone ??? So now I cant call out! People can call me and I can txt msg fine. Oh yea, after some configuration, I finally got it to tether on my WmWifirouter. Can this be fix while I am here? |

go to: start menu > settings > personal > phone and toggle through the settings there should be something called "plus code dialing" you might need to change it. |

I bet that solves it. But stuff like that's why I always keep my Skype account handy. If he can get on the web sans some mac-daddy charges, there's that workaround, I guess. |

There is none like this on the TP2. I have look there and I have look again and there is no way to get rid of the number 1.
BTW, I use this TP2 in Singapore with a prepaid SIM card and I can call out to the locals because here the numbers are more than 10 digits. |

Wait....you have a major bug named Hugh?
(and yes its there, go to cdma/GSM servers) |
Re: I cant use Sprint TP2 oversea where 10 digit # are used! HUGH MAJOR BUG!
It is not there.
"CDMA Service" tab is grey out as I am not in USA. There is "GSM/UMTS Sevices" tab and I have cycle thru "Call Barring" down to "Time Synchronization" and nothing about doing the number "1" thing. I am using the stock TP2, no cook ROM. |

Really? Odd because when I was in China with stock ROM and Sprint's TP2, I Was able to make phone calls to mobile numbers that's just like your case as well, "1" then the 10 digit phone numbers and it all go through quite nicely.
Odd. |
Re: I cant use Sprint TP2 oversea where 10 digit # are used! HUGH MAJOR BUG!
Are you calling someone in China or USA with a 10 digit number?
I do not want it to put a num 1 and I cant stop it. I see nothing in the config about removing a 1 prefix. Previous PDA got it but none I can see on the TP2. |

Dang! Unprepared!
Let me FTP to my computer at home to get a copy of the regedit and try. Do we get rewards for finding bugs for HTC? |
