Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

By the way, I am thinking about adding HTC Messaging back to the new setup & see if it still works. Stay tuned for the results.....

Another new version, that's basically only as laggy as the native WM app.

I'd love to see MMS working though it for Sprint. Anyone wanna take a look at the new version? To the best of my knowledge, we're running into the same problem. I can receive fine. Sending seems to work, but the message never goes anywhere.

What is the reason the native messaging apps couldn't be left in these roms? Or maybe I mean.. why were they taken out?

They were taken out because of all of these unresolved issues...

The main reason is the way CDMA networks deal with MMS. The HTC Messaging is taken out because HTC has made it to work only with GSM so far, to my knowledge.

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

Thanks LP... So the rom was built starting with a GSM rom then? That might explain why it seemed so rough on my sprint phone.

Re: Native HTC messaging MMS fix (collaboration)

im running the new 1.5.2016.2424 now on my sprint tp2 w/stock 6.5. its running pretty smoothly, definitely better than the wm client... secure box and everything works fine except i cant send mms... it says sent, but isnt actually sent. from what ive read and saw in the registry, it seems that everything is set up correctly on my end but when you look into the htc messaging registry entries, MMS are set up through GSM, not CDMA... so... i think i need cdma registry entries for htc messaging and it will be fully functional on my sprint tp2... ive read that copying the renaming the GSM folder to CDMA and stuff like that doesnt work... so where do i find CDMA registry settings for htc messaging?
