I wouldn't recommend making SF the default (I made that mistake once). The SF servers go down constantly (or are overloaded etc) & when that happens it won't connect at all.

Is it just me, or does text look kinda cr@ppy with this thing??

I mean, it certainly looks better than the old Skyfire but Opera Mini looks way sharper to me.

Mine pans and zooms great. And I thought the text was pixelated until I zoomed it once more and then it was crisp as a bell.

The auto-rotate didn't work, though. As for memory usage, it uses a good bit, but not too much if it's going to be a good full-featured browser.

BEST mobile browser out there...

Opera has it's glitches, plus there's like 400 versions out there

IE is dependable, but pretty basic

Fennec: why develop for Symbian before WinMo?

etc etc

please don't mention the iPhone's browser; you can't even download anything

This browser will due for default for me....Only reason i use a browser is for multimedia. Anything else is rss feeds through a program. If i have to go outside of a RSS feed im sure im not going to stare at a article or site long enough for skyfire to get on my nerves.

I think this is a far superior browser than Opera, matter of fact is there a way to make the internet tab shortcut start that up via the opera. I am using a 6.5 rom.
There is not application data\manilla folder.

works pretty good so far. good for sites with flash and nothing more really imo. nothing tops opera mine 5 beta 2 for me atm.

Um..When you install it the first thing it ask is would you like to make Skyfire default...When you click yes. Your internet tab is changed to Skyfire..If you skipped that, go to bottom right button click settings and set default.
