Google Goggles equiv for TP2?

My co-worker picked up a Motorola Droid, and over the last few days she keeps wowing me with the awesome apps she has been finding.
Google just released Goggles, which is the visual search tool. She tried it out and it was amazing. Two books: Found. A barcode on a bottle of NyQuil: Found.
Is there anything out for windows mobile that uses the camera for either Augmented Reality or a search tool, or something like that? She has an app that will let her take a picture of where she parked her car, and it will show her an overlay via gps as she walk back to it again later. Amazing.

What apps are out there that make use of camera overlays, or image recognition, if any?

I thought the keyboard looked too awkward at first, but after playing with the phone I kinda wish I had waited for this. Got my TP2 a month before this came out.

I am of the opinion that Google is going to let WM software development languish in an effort to push users toward Android.

Right there with you man, its coming out in January and I told my wife not to get my any thing for Christmas, that will be my gift

I cant wait to leave WM but then again I cant say it was all that bad. Last year when I got my TP my other option was iPhone with no 3G in the area and over priced and... it lol. The pre had not come out, T-Mobile is MIA in the area here so WM was my only choice. If only the first TP was as good as my TP2 I would not be so eager to bail to android...

Here are two apps that I have that do similar things that you are asking. The first is Barcorama, it uses the camera to scan barcode then find nearby prices. If you search for that thread on Barcorama you will find how you can change the address it uses so that it uses google to compare local prices.

The other app is called "where is" and you can mark points and it will use maps/gps/satellite whatever you chose to find your point whether it is a parking lot or whatever. As for marking with a picture idk bout that. Hope these help!

Ya thanks for those posts.
I too have never really been one to go crazy over apps, but I agree that Google is so innovative, they find ways to make everything useful. Most of the iphone stuff is fluff, but Android stuff just really reflects Google. I like my tp2 as well, but I feel I might be moving to android eventually.

The iPhone is getting augmented reality apps too. Don't think that just because the iPhone's app library is littered with crap, there are no good iPhone apps. Because the iPhone still wins because of the far greater variety in apps and the far greater support.

Yeah, I'm saving up for an HTC Passion now. I am fine with losing the hardware keyboard for some Android, 3.7" inch capacitive, 1GHz Snapdragon goodness.

I totally agree that the actual size of the iphone apps library is a selling point. Hell I even started learning ObjC to get in on it. But then I lost interest since I didn't actually wanna get an iphone in the first place... just make money on it
I'm pretty hesitant to go with any phone that doesn't have a qwerty though. I NEED that feature, bottom line. Anyways, I don't mean to go off my original topic and start debating iphone vs... Was just hoping there were decent equivalents on the WM side for camera-overlay type apps.

Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50286; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

I-Nigma is actually for 2d barcodes, and woeks great. . As far as upc barcodes, it's Barcodezilla, and that program is junk. Rarely recognizes pics, even when the camera is super still, app is hard to use.

But Google Goggles does seem pretty cool. . I saw a few videos on YouTube about it.
