Try abcTaskMan, it will graph your cpu/network/power usage.
Mine runs idle with the screen on fairly dim at 50mA, turning the screen off runs at about 5-10mA. (I did not suspend it I turned the screen off)
abcTaskMan wont run suspended.
I'm not sure how accurate the power readings are, but you can compare your readings to mine.
The stock battery is 1500mA.
To run it down in 4 hours you're running at 1500/4 = 375mA which is nearly max power.
