Re: hard spl unlock not working on my replaced phone...
Well, now the next step is to extract the HSPL from their "packaging" program which hides the files in such a way that they had to mimic a virus-delivery platform...
Time to unlock the unlocker... |

Re: hard spl unlock not working on my replaced phone...
here is what worked for unlocking 2nd replacement sprint TP2 handset.
1. open EPST MSL program by dialing ##mslnumber# 2. changed the MDN and MSID to a different number (my google voice number). it could also be ur home telephone number in theory. 3. save and reset. ignore network or other errors. 4. connect to activesync and start the unlocker. 5. after a successful unlock and reset, change the MDN & MSID numbers back to their original values. all set. no more waiting for cmonex's replies. p.s. use a different computer or a dual OS on ur's to be on the safe side. they might be looking at a boot drive hash to cross verify. i am thankful for all the hardwork from CMONEX n team. my attempt is only to get around the seemingly longer wait times. Thanks. |

If you need your MSL: If you have a Sprint Touch Pro2 this is the only way to get your MSL other then to call sprint. 1. You need a Reg edit tool like PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor. 2. Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\ATDbgLog 3. Edit item called "Enable" and change from "0" to "1" (leave out quotes.) Save changes. 4. Exit PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor. 5. Shutdown/turnoff device. 6. Turn back on. 7. Once turned on leave running for 1 minute or longer (a log files is being created durring this time in the "\Atlog" folder.) 8. After 1 min go back into registry and set value back to "0". Make sure to save changes and exit PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor. 9. Shutdown device again and turn back on. 10. Varify that the Registry value is still set to "0", if not then repeat above steps and wait 1 min before shutting down the second time in step 9. 11. Now you should open Explorer and go to the folder "\Atlog" in the root directory of your device. 12. You shoould see a file called "ATDbg0" (the "0" may be another number like 1), if your using another file browser you may see the full file name include the "xtx" extention. This file is a text file and can be opened in Word mobile. 13. open the file and use the find feature to locate "RMSL", you should soon find a line item that includes a 6 digit number, this is your MSL code. |

Re: hard spl unlock not working on my replaced phone...
or you can do what i did.
1. find a old spare phone. even a broken one, 2. loginto sprint account and click activate phone 3. type in the esn number of the spare phone and follow the steps 4. come back to the account page 5. click again on the activate new phone and this time type in ur new TP2 esn number and follow the clicks. the activation page will show ur msl codes along with other info. you can do this how ever may times as u want. sprint doesnt care. best part. u dont even have to turn off ur TP2 during the whole process. njoy. Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50286; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)
I just read every word of this thread, and now I'm concerned about what is going on with this unlocker. Yay 4 Juggs, that response you got is unbelievable. Of course it goes without saying with anything, if you don't trust it, don't use it. But we were all misled into believing the unlocker is safe and does not gather sensitive information. On top of that, we were told first use is free, replacement phones can be free, commercial use is pay, otherwise donations are appreciated - not required. Now the part that pisses me off is they will not disclose what information is being gathered. While I don't believe I have super sensitive info (with the exception of internet cookies with my username and password to my bank accounts, utility companies, and Verizon account. My home computer has even more sensitive information), who's to say what's safe? And all you F'in morons saying "What's the big deal about donating $5.12? Well I say to you, there is no big deal. All of us here are willing to pay $5.12 for the unlocker - if it is required. Instead, we're told a payment is not required, but then extensive, and unacceptable measures are taken to prevent us from using the unlocker. Still to you morons, I would much rather pay $5.12, or even $10.12 for something that unlocks my phone indefinitely, than provide any sensitive information about myself. Had I been aware that they would "gather whatever info they wanted, and shame on us for asking" would be the case, I would NOT have unlocked my phone. Oh, and to the other stupid f**k who said don't be scared, they're going to sell us kiddie porn or whatever, get a clue. There is so much damage they can do with such information. Although I cannot code, I'm with you guys to unlock the unlocker, or bring this to the attention of others. That response they gave is shrewd and unacceptible. I feel dirty using an unlocked TP2, and also for those who are to naiive to know what's going on. Something must be done. What a genius scheme they have running...
