I'm not sure how this topic got so off course...

Knowing that HTC has no intention of bringing the Touch HD stateside was not only an expected decision but a welcome one. Never buy a 1st gen device. HTC always comes out with new devices in the summer. Wait until 2Q or 3Q of 2009 and you will see an HTC Touch HD v2.0 with WM7, an nVidia Tegra chip, perhaps even a WiMax version on the Sprint CDMA network.

I would gladly wait 8-10 months for that.

No, i think it would be pointless for them to make a cdma version. i want the next gen version that blows the iphone out the water....

here's what it would be..

CDMA/WIMAX
ROM 1GB, RAM 512MB
8/16gb flash with sd slot
5-8mp cam w/ flash and auto focus plus geotagging
802.11 b/g/n
and2x battery life

I signed. I agree with alot of posts on here but the most important point is Sprint loses out on the GSM market. They don't put out enough informative information on their Pocket PC products they do carry through advertisements and most of the staff that work for them don't have a clue(are ignorant to the features of these products). For example I called customer service and told the person I'm interested in upgrading my 6700 and they recommended the Instinct. What would I do with that???

Apple has flooded and captured most of the market that may had considered Sprint Pocket pc's had they known about them and the versitility compared to IPhone. The reason we are always behind the European market is the fact that we still have carriers like Sprint that don't provide service to GSM phones. I am not in a contract with Sprint now and although I don't have a problem with the service of the network I would like to have a phone I could just put a sim card in and be done with it. I may switch. We will see!!
