Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

I had a customer that this was happening too. He had Ringo installed. Once he uninstalled Ringo (a ringtone program that by-passes your settings) it worked fine.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

Can anyone shed any light on this? It happens when in calender and change an appointment, then vibrate comes on. I am not in automatic on profile, I am on Normal.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

I have the "editing calendar item switches to vibrate" problem, I thought I was going crazy phone mysteriously started going to vibrate mode.

It happens when I save an appointment. I'm using HTC Home plug in and Pocket Informant 2007. The sound profile is set to Normal in HTC Home, I then go to the calendar, edit an item, click save and phone immediately goes to vibrate. Going back to HTC Home reveals that it thinks it is still set to the "Normal" profile. Clicking on the "Normal" sound profile sets things back to normal.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

The phone is not set to "automatic" it is set to "normal" on htc home customizer. Therfore that is not the answer. Any other ideas? Thanks

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

The problem is definitely with HTC Home and/or HTC Home Customizer...

I can successfully reproduce this problem. I did so, then removed HTC Home Customizer and HTC Home and am not able to reproduce the problem without the two programs installed.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

Yes it is a hhc prbolem. You can also go into your hhc home customizer and remove profiles from your selected tabs and the problem dissapears.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

Thanks,

Removing the Profiles tab does stop the problem.

Re: Phone turning to vibrate mode automatically?

Removing the profiles tab seems like a bad "work around", because it takes away the feature of being able to quickly change to silent, vibrate or normal. With that said - updating to the latest ROM has fixed this on my device. Now, the Profiles work exactly as they should: Normal uses normal rings/sounds, Silent is just that, Vibrate is just that, and Automatic quiets the phone during scheduled appointments.

So, get the latest ROM and see if the problem goes away for you too!
