Why is everyone so anxious about the ROM update when you still have to turn around and do another ROM update when Rev. A (after 12 months) is finally released?
I'd rather wait for a ROM update that will address ALL issues, not just some. |

Because there are plenty of us who think the phone is nearly unusable without BT (or a defective BT that we can't use for work). Speed is fine on the internet very nice and all but I need this as a PHONE just as much as a PDA and since I spend 2 hours a day in the car and use my phone for work BT is the most important feature for me.

Why not just flash to the Alltel ROM or the Colonels Rom? I have been using the Alltel for some time now and bluetooth and the keyboard issue are both fixed.

lol, this is funny. It's like people are expecting a miracle from this update. Like it's going to give the mogul 4000 hours of talk time, 2048MB of RAM, and a Core 2 Duo processor.
It's an update that probably isn't going to be any better than the custom roms that are out there right now. I'd recommend flashing a custom rom over using an official rom at this point. The official roms are usually just junk and need to be fixed anyway. That's why we have custom roms. The 'updated' rom is going to be hacked/modified/improved anyway, so why not just wait for the new rom to come out and then wait for a custom version of it. I'm sure it won't be long after the 'updated' rom is released that we will have a custom, even more updated version. |
