Well it's technically illegal, but usually they won't bother you if you are calling to test, as long as the first thing you say is you're testing it, and you don't hang up until they give you the OK. A friend dialed 911 by accident on his phone (held 9 instead of 8 for speed dial) and they told him it was no problem, but he couldn't hang up until they said it was ok (if you hang up on them, they assume theres a problem and send police). He ended up talking for a couple minutes actually, because the operator knew his dad, and recognized the last name when the info came up on the screen.
Long story short, don't call 911 unless you absolutely have to. You can usually get away with "testing" it, but unless you have reason to think it won't work, don't test. Your test call may delay somebody who actually needs help from getting it. |

Uh, I work for a 911 call center. It's not illegal to test, as long as you aren't testing 25 times a day, and don't test, and immediately hang up. Just tell the dispatcher you are testing your cell phone, and they might want you to verify your name/address (the good call centers should, I know we do...) We have only prosecuted 1 or 2 nut jobs that call 911 hundreds of times a day...
And no, I really don't care if the Goddamn button is skinned or not... I was just saying it wasn't skinned... |

this looks like the touch dialer but all thats taken from touch is the images. the code behind the dialer is basically still sprint mogul. i do not know if the ##codes work on apache. |

you mean the left softkey? i dont think the dialer affects that. Paul's dialpad enables the 'big buttons'. thus call and end buttons go bye bye. You can use the hardbuttons for call and end. If you replaced the phcanhtc.dll with the original one, you could skin the original dialer.
